This recipe was once again inspired by Lindsay of { fleur de sel }. I was intrigued by her Radishes with Butter and Salt recipe that I thought I’d give this one a try using my Homemade Butter. What makes this dish really stand out is the good quality butter. I love the freshness from the butter and the crunch from the radishes. The butter (if using a good one) doesn’t make it oily or heavy. Plus, this is such a beautiful and easy dish to make when you have company over. Or a quick and easy snack to make for yourself in the afternoon. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
- 10-12 radishes (I used French radishes. If you are using regular radishes, you’ll only need about 5-7 of them), thinly sliced
- 1 baguette, sliced
- homemade butter
- fleur de sel
- organic micro greens for garnish
Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Place baguette slices in a large baking sheet and bake for 5-7 minutes. Slather butter over the warm baguette slices and sprinkle fleur de sel. Place sliced radishes on top until most of the surface areas are covered. Garnish with micro greens and serve.
I’ve never even heard of French radishes until now. How would you say they compare with the “regular” ones? They look great!
French radishes aren’t as spicy as the regular radishes. Both are equally tasty though. 🙂
Beautiful Anne! I love the addition of the micro greens on the crostini, and toasting the bread! Thank you for the shout out! xo
Thanks Lindsay! This dish is now a staple in my home, thanks to you. We all love it!
Love the photos Anne!
Thanks Jeannee!

You’re so kind for saying that, thank you Massi! 🙂
This is really a unique idea. Your homemade butter sounds amazing!
Thank you so much! 🙂
This brings back memories of my Mom making finger sandwiches with radishes straight from the garden with just a slice of bread and butter. I remember them being so good! Love the photos Anne!
Thanks Jan, always lovely to hear from you. 😉
Your crostini are so pretty and with your fresh butter…they must be terrific.
Thanks Karen! 🙂 It sure was tasty!
I usually eat radishes with just a little salt – but these crostini look wonderful. Now I can’t wait for my radishes to grow in the spring so that I can try this idea!
Thanks Sarah. I bet home grown radishes are even better on these! I’m a huge fan on anything homemade and home grown. 😀
Seriously? French radishes are less spicy. Unusually for me I’m not overly keen on radish, but that’s probably because there’s only one type for sale here and those are small round ones. I do like their crunch, though.
Yes, they are less spicy and it went perfectly on this crostini. The homemade butter really makes this dish delicious.
What a nice coincidence! I’m in your delicious post ‘orange and olive oil cake’. Just about to Pin!
Why thank you kind sir! 😉
Anne, this is a wonderful treat. I have never seen French radishes. I love baguette recipes and this is a delicious & gorgeous treat. Of course the both of you have the entire homemade butter going too!! You are so amazing 🙂
Thanks Judy. And thanks for your lovely comment! 🙂 I found french radishes at my local “farmer’s market” like produce shop. They are so cute and delicious and went great on these crostini.
This sounds so good! I need to try this when I make the homemade butter!
Thanks Nancy! 🙂
I would never think to combine butter and radishes to make crostini. Very creative and something I cannot wait to try. Thanks, Anne.
Thanks John –it was absolutely delicious and takes no time to make. It’s also pretty enough to serve to company.
Looks so fresh and bright!! Love pics!
Thank you so much! 🙂
