Eggnog Rum Bread with Cinnamon Chips

Eggnog Rum Bread with Cinnamon Chips

We are big eggnog people here.  Drinking it straight with some brandy, not so much.  But we use it for everything else, especially in our morning lattes.  I personally love to bake with eggnog and Chris loves to eat it.  We ♥ eggnog.

Eggnog Rum Bread with Cinnamon Chips

I got my hands on some cinnamon chips this year.  Have you tried it? It’s incredible! It’s so fragrant and pronounce that you don’t need to add cinnamon to your recipe.  And so I decided to throw some in with this batter along with spiced rum, for good health.  Trust me, you’ll fall in love with this loaf! Cinnamon chips are common around this time of the year in the baking aisle.  If you can’t find it, Amazon is a great resource.  King Arthur Flour is also a good resource too for all things chips.  Here’s to some eggnog rum bread with some cinnamon chips.  YUM! Have a great week lovelies!

  1. Happy Eggnog Month, Anne!!! Your Eggnog Bread looks dee…li…cious! What a great idea to add the cinnamon chips. I see them in the store once in a while but only around the holidays. I think baking with eggnog is so much better than actually drinking it. Although, I have been know to have a nip or two with some brandy every now and again, lol…Thank you so much for sharing, Anne…

  2. This bread looks wonderful, Anne. Perfect with a cup of coffee in the morning! You’ve convinced me when it comes to using eggnog in baking. This looks so moist and the studs of cinnamon chips is a great touch. This is my kind of way to enjoy eggnog. Have a great Sunday! xo

  3. Not only is this bread super delicious, but it will fill your house with the most comforting aromas of cinnamon and baked goods. I couldn’t wait to sink my teeth into a slice. And this is one bread that I think goes way better with coffee versus tea.

  4. A mouth watering flavor combination! And that these photos…..wow!Though I can purchase Hershey’s cinnamon chips year round in my supermarket, eggnog is definitely seasonal. I need to bake this asap! Thanks, Anne!
p.s. I adore cinnamon and have tried the King Arthur cinnamon chips too. They are rather expensive (I think twice the price of Hershey’s) but taste more “real”. For most things, I find the Hershey’s do the trick (and freeze well if you want to stock up).

  5. I have not tried the cinnamon chips yet but they look amazing!! I’m gonna need go make this bread. We love eggnog too…not drinking it straight but in everything baked.

  6. This is one gorgeous looking bread Anne! It looks so moist and fluffy and the cinnamon chips look mouthwatering! I love how much yumminess is packed in every bite, it sounds amazing! Pinning and hope you enjoy the rest of the weekend sweetie:) xo

  7. You had me at eggnog and cinnamon, definitely making this one! It looks simple enough for a holiday house too, as long as I take my trusty loaf pan. 😀 have a great last-whole-week-before-Christmas!!

  8. I don’t think I’ve ever had cinnamon chips! I gotta find some – cinnamon has such wonderful flavor, I know I’d love them. And I know I’d love this bread, too. Eggnog bread? I don’t think I’ve ever had that. Sounds wonderful. Thanks.

  9. Hmmm, the ether may have grabbed my comment! Anyway, I love the idea of cinnamon chips – not something I’ve ever had before. Cinnamon has wonderful flavor, so I know I’d like the chips. I’d like this bread, too – eggnog bread is another thing I’ve never had! Good stuff – thanks.

  10. I love drinking eggnog with whiskey or rum & I also love just drinking it ‘plain’!
What a great idea to add eggnog to the ingredients. And how abut those cinnamon chips!! YUM YUM YUM !!

  11. Yummy….I feel a bread-baking binge coming on! I find cinnamon chips at the local Walmart. King Arthur flour also sells them on their website, but not as good as the Hershey’s

  12. Yes, cinnamon chips! I just discovered them the other day in the baking aisle and have been adding them to a bunch of baked goods. Love this loaf! Looks SO good. I’ve never been a big eggnog fan, but really want to try it in baking!

  13. Many recipes use eggnog, Anne, but so few ask for rum, too. I know I’m going to like a recipe when the liquor ingredient is listed in fractions of cups and not teaspoons. I know I’ll love this rum bread, Anne. Thanks for sharing!

  14. I have those same cinnamon chips from King Arthur Flour! Love them. 🙂 My hubby and I adore eggnog and it’s a must in our house this time of the year. I’ve never baked with it before though. Does the flavor bake out or can you really taste it? Also, I’m not a fan of rum…can I remove that? Pinning this gorgeous beauty!

  15. I can never find cinnamon chips but the other day I finally saw them so I grabbed a bag, not having a plan for them…but now i do! I love eggnog so I bet this is fantastic 🙂
